Frequently asked questions about our outdoor first aid courses.
Do I need prior medical knowledge?
No , no prior medical knowledge is necessary. All content is structured in such a way that it can be understood and applied without any medical background.
Who are the outdoor safety training courses suitable for?
Beginner:
This course is for people who enjoy spending time in nature or who want to gain initial experience with outdoor first aid. It also aims to inspire further exploration of the topic of outdoor first aid.
Basic course:
For people who require advanced first aid, especially in remote areas. This practical course is based on rescue times of between 4 and 12 hours. This applies primarily to hikers and mountaineers, but also to backpackers, off-road travelers, and extreme tourists. Relevant companies would include research institutes, travel and expedition companies, industrial climbers, or aid organizations.
Is there a minimum age for participation?
Yes.
To enroll in the online course, you must be at least 18 years old.
Our practical courses are open to those aged 16 and over, accompanied by a parent. Because we believe it's important to promote first aid skills from a young age, we've created a special discounted combination ticket for booking.
Will I receive a first aid certificate?
Beginner:
This only provides a confirmation of participation.
Basic course:
We are currently in the process of obtaining DGUV certification so that we can certify first aiders and company aiders.
Regardless, you will receive a certificate of participation with the most important content of our Outdoor Safety Training courses.
Do you offer your outdoor safety training courses as educational leave?
Not currently, but in the future we plan to offer our training courses as educational leave.
How many participants are there per training session?
To ensure high-quality instruction and a comfortable learning atmosphere, there is a maximum of 14 participants per basic or advanced course.
